Flutter Deveoper – Flutter Engineer 💩Â
At Go Potty®, we’re building software that genuinely changes childhood — and we’ve got families and research results to show it’s working. Now we’re looking for a senior Flutter developer to take ownership of our mobile and web products that make that possible.
What will you do?
Own the codebase from top to bottom — mobile, web, and everything in between.
- Maintain and improve our Flutter mobile app (iOS and Android) and Flutter Web portal, taking real architectural ownership.
- Lead refactoring work for performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
- Design and build robust Firebase integrations: Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging — you’re the expert here.
- Enforce privacy-by-design and GDPR best practices: data minimisation, retention policies, DSR flows.
- Design UX/UI screens and flows; translate user feedback into clear, intuitive experiences for both the app and our B2B dashboard.
- Drive CI/CD quality: GitHub Actions, Fastlane, App Store and Play Store releases.
- Work closely with sales, support and product — you’ll be a key voice in where the product goes next.
What we’re looking for
- Senior engineer, not just experienced: You’ve been in production with Flutter long enough to know what breaks, what scales, and what looks fine until it isn’t. You make decisions you can defend — and you learn from the ones that don’t pan out.
- Firebase fluent: Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging — you’ve built on these seriously, not just tinkered. You understand the data model implications, not just the API surface.
- Quality-minded: You write tests when they seem relevant to prevent core functionality breaking.
- Design sense: You can look at a flow and know when something feels off for the user. You don’t need to be a full-time designer, but you take accessibility and clarity seriously.
- Clear communicator: You can explain technical decisions to teammates who aren’t developers — and you’re genuinely comfortable working across sales, support, and product.
Specific experience:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 3+ years with Flutter/Dart in production.
- Solid Firebase experience: Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging.
- Experience with iOS and Android native development.
- Unit testing.
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Fastlane.
- App Store and Play Store release management.
- Familiarity with payments/subscriptions (RevenueCat a plus).
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands — we’re not able to sponsor visas for this role.
- Nice to have: production experience with Flutter Web.
What we offer
- Part-time position: 24–32 hours per week (32 preferred), flexible work arrangements.
- Hybrid: our office in The Hague, plus home when it makes sense.
- A key role in a fast-growing startup where you’ll make real decisions, not just implement tickets.
- Plenty of freedom and responsibility — this is not a “wait for the spec” kind of job.
- Competitive startup salary including pension. You won’t earn the absolute most, but you’ll own what you build and make the world a little better 😉.
- Start date: as soon as possible.
About Go Potty®
Go Potty® is a social enterprise on a mission to reduce the time children spend in diapers. We started with potty training — 50,000 families, 70% research-validated efficacy — and we’re building the architecture to extend this to every parenting challenge: sleep, nutrition, emotional regulation. Small team, real ownership. See www.gopottynow.com/working-at for more about how we work.
